Need help wiring electrical venting Roto Ski-light?

My next door neighbor removed the moving parts of a Roto electrical venting window to have a worn gear replaced. Now that the gear has been replaced and it's ready to be reconnected,
we don't know which wires go where.

The motor has two connections. One has a red dot next to it and the other doesn't. There's three wires to connect. One that looks like a ground with a round grommet, one brown wire with a connector and one black wire with a connector.

The one with a grommet probably goes on the screw that mounts the motor to the window for a ground but of the other two wires we don't know which one goes to the red dot and/or the other connection on the motor.

Please help!

The wall mounted control switch on the wall controls two other ski-lights. We could probably remove the cover to one of the others to see how they're wired but we'd rather not.
John, wait a minute! You're an electrician and your telling us to replace the unit because you don't know how to connect two wires. Two low voltage wire none the less.

Spend $1000 to $1500 because you don't know how to connect two wires.

I hope you're kidding!

Answer:
I am not sure. And I personally would look at another unit.

Oh I get it.

I was wondering why you thought I recommended replacing the unit. Sorry I wasn't clear. I meant I would look at one of the other units to see how the wires are connected. Seemed to me to be the quickest way to do this. Any thing else would be a guess. Unless you can find the wiring diagram.
