How can I make sure my electrical wiring is up to code without buying an expensive code book?
We are finishing our basement, and my husband is doing the electrical himself. We want to do it right the first time, so we have been looking for the codes to follow. All I can find is books offering the codes, but they are very expensive. Any suggestions?

Being a Lic Electrician, my first suggestion would be to consult a local electrician, choice # 2 pick up Electrical for dummies. No that's not a joke. You can buy @ home depot for about $12.00. This gives you basics. Basements are pretty simple, Just a few guidelines to follow. Feel free to e- mail me for further advise
