Isotropic Ferrite Magnets

Isotropic Ferrite Magnets C1- Resin bonded material produced to close mechanical tolerances. Inexpensive but fairly low performance material.

D1- Barium ferrite material. Pressed to required shape and sintered at about 1200(degree)C. It is subject to shrinkage in sintering and tolerances can therefore vary. Unmachined tolerances typically +-2%. Items can be precision machined to tighter tolerances if required.

D2- Strontium ferrite material, similar to D1 in nature but more suited to use in d.c. motors or for toy and food use applications. Tolerances are similar to Barium ferrite.

Neoplast Neodymium Irom Boron Resin Bonded Range A, B, C & D
Formed from resin bonded isotropic material, components are manufactured compaction pressing to finished size and then heat cured to produce a mechanically strong component. Close mechanical tolerances are possible with this method, typically +-0.1 mm, cut items can be produced to tighter tolerances by subsequent machining. Arcs, rings, discs, segments and blocks can be produced by this method.

Due to the reactive nature of neodymium iron boron compounds, we highly recommend that components are supplied covered with a protective coating to prevent corrosion.

Neoflex Flexible Neodymium Iron Boron Sheet
Manufactured by compounding the Magnequench material into nitrile rubber and subsequent pressing and vulcanising into sheets 300 mm2. Produced in thicknesses between 1.5 mm and 2.0 mm this material is easily cut or stamped to shape. Magnetic properties exceed those of hard ferrites and the ability to fabricate shapes is one advantage of this material.
